Salt-dough maps are really easy to make: equal parts flour and salt, although I have seen 2:1 flour and salt. Then add water until consistency of play dough. First we drew an outline of Britain, to the best of our ability, onto a large cardboard. We painted the water area first, and then made the dough and spread it out onto the area of land. After the dough dried, we painted it green. And as we study Olde England, we will add cities, rivers, and important places.
