Another Baroque Artist: Caravaggio

A new favorite artist for me: Michelangelo Caravaggio!  Born in Milan, Italy, he was described as "dangerous" and "always running from the law" or "for his life."  Yet, he never lacked for commissions.  He is considered one of the first, most important Baroque artists.  Some of his work is so grisly and difficult to look at that I rather not post them.  You'll have to decide for yourself if you want to search for them.

Here are some of our favorites:

The Incredulity of St. Thomas or Doubting Thomas, 1601-02, in Postdam
My favorite from when I was a young girl, before I knew who Caravaggio was:
The Conversion of St. Paul, 1601, in Rome
Supper at Emmaus, 1601, in London
